Sunday afternoon jazz concerts are held outdoors on the beautiful grounds of Filoli. All proceeds go towards the preservation and conservation of Filoli. Besides being entertained by brilliant jazz musicians, the audience is pampered by hard-working Filoli volunteers. There is free parking for everyone and snacks and drinks, including beer and white wine. Tables are set up on the tennis court and shaded by umbrellas and ancient oak trees. Gourmet box lunches are available for purchase in advance. The audience is welcome to tour the House and Garden before and during the concert.
Concerts are from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. on Filoli's garden stage. Seating begins at 1:00 p.m. Gates open at 11:00 a.m.

The Free Outdoors Jazz Concert will be part of the 16th annual AfroSolo Arts Festival that runs from August 1 – October 15, 2009. AfroSolo´s mission is to nurture, promote, and present African American and African Diaspora art and culture through solo performances and the visual and literary arts.
